This is my voice! is Valorized!

The project exhibition "This is my voice!" has been presented to the annual Valorization conference organized by National Agency on November 18-Th.

During the conference Euroarte Association demonstrated the PhotoVoice method in a 1 hour workshop with participants from Life Long Learning and Youth in Action field.

This is my voice! is Getting Involved

Project "This is my voice!" will be presented as Good Practice example during the training course "Get Involved" organized by Romanian National Agency in Predeal in November 2011.

We will present the project, it's results and the process of creating them in a Participatory Democracy Youth Project.

A few details about the training:
Get involved! Training course

22-27 November 2011 | Predeal (Carpathian Mountains), Romania

Participants will explore the concept of youth participation, learn about the YIA programme and learn how to set up their own Youth Democracy project.The objective is to enable them to develop and realise an Action 1.3 Youth Democracy project.
The aim is the exploration of the concept of youth participation, the provision of knowledge regarding the Youth in Action programme and more specifically Action 1.3 and the development of necessary competences for realizing a youth democracy project.
The objectives of the training course are:
- To explore the added value of Youth Democracy projects for the local community
- To acquire project management and communication competences
- To develop understanding about the principles of youth participation
- To learn about the Youth in Action Programme and especially about the quality criteria of Action 1.3 Youth Democracy projects
- To share and transfer experiences of activities undertaken in the local community
- To create a space for contact making and finding potential partners for Youth Democracy projects
- To develop an action plan to realise a Youth Democracy project.

This is my voice Exhibition in Craiova/ Romania


40 Silent voices speak through photography

Euroarte Association, Association Vasilida and Photoclub "Dan Mihai Calinescu" invites all photography passionate to visit the photo exhibition "This is my voice," which presents a selection of photographs taken by 40 youngsters with hearing and speaking disabilities from Romania and Poland. "This Is My Voice" Project is funded by the European Commission, Youth in Action Program, Action 1.3 Youth Democracy Projects.

Photo exhibition "This is my voice," will be officially opened on 16 October 2011, 18.30 at the Art Gallery of Military Center in Craiova, Romania, and will remain open between 15 -30 November 2011.

The authors of the photos are deaf or hipoacusic young people from Romania and Poland, which, through photography (Photovoice method) express their problems, opinions, needs, wanting to communicate with hearing people in order to be understood and integrated.

Throughout the month of October 2011 the exhibition "This is my voice!" was hosted at Bucharest student’s Culture House; now follows a stop in Craiova and then, during January-May 2012, the exhibition of the project results will be itinerated in Cluj/ Romania and Warsaw/Poland, in the communities of the young participants, according to the following program:

- February 1 to March 3, 2012 – Octavian Goga Cluj County Library, Association ArtImage;
- March 2012 - Polish Deaf Association headquarters in Warsaw, Poland.

This is my Voice! Photo exhibition in Bucharest



Between 6 October - 5 November 2011, best pictures resulted in Photovoice project"This is my Voice!" will be presented at Student's Culture House, Bucharest, Plevnei 61.

The grand opening is schaduled for 6 oct, 6.30 pm, in the presence of the 40 youngsters/the authors of the pictures and their guests.

This is my voice! at NGO Fest

This is my Voice! - a wonderful project for youngsters with hearing and speaking disabilities- was present at ONGFest, during 9-11 September 2011.

The pictures made by these talented young people created a very good impression on the visitors of the fair and fellow participating NGO-s.

The project is now on a straight line towards the finals: all the participants will meet in Romania, between 3-7 October, to share the results and exchange experience, and the Grand opening of the Photo exhibition will be on the 6-th of October, at Student’s Culture House!

“This is my voice!" project aims to make heard, loud and clear, the “voices" of 40 youngsters with hearing and speaking disabilities from Poland and Romania through Photo voice method. The project is funded by the European Commission through Youth in Action, Action 1.3, Youth Democracy Projects.

Euroarte Association is the coordinating organization and the partners, from Poland and Romania, are: Polish Intercultural Group and Silent Voices from Warsaw, Poland; Association Vasiliada from Craiova, Bucharest Student Culture House, Association ArtImage from Cluj, Photo Club “Mihai Dan Calinescu" from Craiova, Romania.

The project activities take place in Poland and Romania, in the timeframe May 2011 - June 2012 and consist in training 40 hearing and speech impaired youngsters by the means of photo voice methodology.
Photo Voice Method helps young people to develop, self-discover, express themselves through photography, by identifying problems, seeking solutions, communicating with decision makers and the community.

After an intense Photo voice training in the cities of origin, the 40 young people involved in the project meet in Bucharest in October 2011, during a 4 days workshop.

The best pictures created by young participants during the project will be subject to a traveling exhibition in Bucharest, Craiova, Cluj and Warsaw.

The Itinerary Photography Exhibition will be presented to the public first time in Bucharest, at the Student House of Culture, Way of Pleven, no. 61, between October 6 to November 6, 2011, and will be opened on October 6, 2011, in the presence of project beneficiaries and their guests.

PhotoVoice in Cluj - Romania

The second PhotoVoice module was implemented for 10 youngsters with hearing and speaking disabilities from Cluj, Romania, in the period 6 June - 4 July 2011. A selection of the best pictures produced by the young participants will be showed in Poland and Romania, during the Itinerary Photo exhibition “This is my voice!”.

This group photo show will be opened first in Bucharest, Romania, at Student’s Culture House, being scheduled for the beginning of October 2011.
